California Batting Cages

Home Run Park has been around since 1961. They are an outdoor facility which is good except when it rains and at the end of the day when the sun goes down as the cages face the west. They have a variety of hardball and softball pitching machines that use the "Iron Mike" pitching arm instead of the wheels. The cages vary in speeds advertised, but it is our opinion they are not accurate. Cages listing 80MPH threw more like 65MPH. They have a nice store inside where you can buy a variety of baseball equipment including batting gloves, fielding gloves, metal and wood bats and more. All in all a much better experience than their closest competitors but could be better.

This is a great place to hit. Well attended to and clean, they offer softball and baseball cages with varying speeds up to 75MPH. (True 75MPH). A small pro shop sells bats, helmets and batting gloves.

One of the most difficult places you will ever try to find, this facility is hidden behind other buildings off of Laguna Canyon Road. You have to look quick to see the sign, most likely you will make a couple of u-turns before finding them. Once there you will see about 6 - 8 cages and a small pro shop. Not a bad facility, not great. They advertise specials in the local newspapers with coupons for discounts on hitting.

Just recently visited this place and my oh my has it gone downhill. The adjacent parking lot closed and the only related service for the cages is a token machine. Anything else now has to go through the front desk which is quite a walk. They have two sides with 8 machines on each side, softball and varying speeds of baseball. All the balls are extremely old, some orange some yellow. No one is ever available to free up the machines when the balls get stuck which happens frequently. Some of the faster cages throw only 50% hittable pitches. Each round now costs two tokens instead of one. The most frustrating experience you will have, not worth it.

Not as bad as the Fountain Valley location but almost at times. Only two fast baseball cages, one 70MPH the other 80MPH. One of them is almost always locked up, the other will run out of balls or get stuck every other round. It takes an act of god to get someone to help, and then it happens five minutes later. If you get lucky and balls flow, you might have a decent experience.

Part of a huge facility with MLB replica softball and little league fields there are 8 cages, 4 baseball 4 softball. Not bad, occasionally get stuck. The fastest cage is on the corner and can be erratic. Fairly attentive staff, full restaraunt and bar at location which is a bonus.
